At Cardiff Commitment, we’re passionate about connecting young people with real opportunities to thrive after leaving school. In our latest online Youth Support Services event, we showcased two brilliant offers for 16–25-year-olds: Radio Platfform and the Into Work Advice Service.
Run by the Wales Millennium Centre, Radio Platfform is a youth-led creative hub that offers free training and accredited courses in exciting areas such as:
Radio production
Filmmaking
Acting
Hip-hop and graffiti
Technical theatre apprenticeships (in partnership with Cardiff & Vale College)
Participants also benefit from career mentoring, access to creative events, and studio space. It’s all about helping young people build their confidence, develop vital creative skills, and step into careers across the creative industries.
The Into Work Advice Service provides a wide range of free courses in growing sectors like:
Hospitality
Security
Construction
Young people can also access one-to-one support for CV writing, interview preparation, and job searching. With sessions available across Cardiff, it's a fantastic, accessible way for young people to get the help they need to move into work.
If you’re a business with opportunities for post-16 learners or are interested in getting involved in future Youth Support Services events, we’d love to hear from you!
