Prince’s Trust Cymru are excited to announce the return of our New & Exciting programme!

 

Click Start Get Into Digital ~ Accelerate” 

In partnership with The Open University & The Institute of Coding
Funded by Nominet

 

This course is part of Click Start, the new nationwide training programme developed by the Institute of Coding (IoC) a national consortium of industry, educators, and outreach providers. Click Start is funded by Nominet, the public benefit company that operates and protects UK internet infrastructure and uses its funds to support projects that promote digital inclusion. The new programme will be rolled out through 2023 and helps to tackle the UK’s digital skills gap. This will be done by offering skills and training to more than 26,500 learners across the country, who may not have previously had opportunities. 

 

Get Into Digital ~ Accelerate is for young people 16-30 living in South Wales (Cardiff City Region /Swansea /Neath Port Talbot) with an interest in working in the digital sector or those looking to enhance their digital skills and knowledge.

This is a 5-week programme that helps young people prepare for work in the digital sector or any employment that involves using digital skills. A programme that covers specific, self-paced training and learning modules through a dedicated OpenLearn platform in partnership with the Open University. 

 

Taster Day: Tuesday 29th October 2024

Programme dates:  4th November – 5th December 2024

Teams Sessions: Tuesdays and Thursdays (Employability sessions delivered by Youth Development Leads in our Prince’s Trust Cardiff Centre or Virtually)

Self-Study: via the OpenLearn Platform over 5-weeks
