King's Trust Get Into Digital

Get Into Digital – our exciting Digital Careers programme is back for April! After ten hugely successful programmes, with over 300 young people participating in total, we are proud to announce the next dates for our Get Into Digital programme in April 2025. 

Get Into Digital is for those aged between 16-30 living in Wales with an interest in working in the digital sector or those looking to enhance their digital skills and knowledge. 
 
Programme Details  
Taster Day: Tuesday 15th April 2025
Programme Dates: W/C Mon 21st April – Fri 23rd May 2025
Teams Sessions: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Self-Study: 10-15 hours a week (This course is Online)

What is it? 
This is a 5-week programme that helps young people prepare for work in the digital sector or any employment that involves digital skills. During the programme young people will get the opportunity to obtain numerous professional certificates from LinkedIn Learning such as: digital literacy, soft skills, business analysist and software developer. The content covered in the programme will help to develop the young person's skills and knowledge that are fundamental for 6 of the most in demand roles within the digital economy. 
This programme isn’t just about jobs that are directly related to digital or IT. So many jobs are reliant on digital technology and require people to have a basic understanding of using tech in the workplace. By enhancing these skills through this 5-week programme this will help those young people become more relevant and employable for a variety of roles that are digitally enabled. 
 
Who is it for? 
This course is aimed at anyone;
•    Aged between 16 and 30
•    Interested in exploring a career in the digital industry
•    Able to commit to regular learning
•    Able to access reliable internet access and a computer or mobile device
There is no need to have any previous experience or qualifications in technology, however young people with an interest in the upskilling their digital knowledge would be well suited to the programme. 
Programme Highlights  
•    Supporting young people to build their confidence around digital skills 
•    Upskilling young people for future opportunities that require digital knowledge  
•    CV Writing, Application Forms, Interview Skills & Goal Setting   
•    Inspirational talks and workshops from Microsoft and other digitally enabled companies  
•    Up to 12 certificates available including; digital literacy, soft skills, administrative professional, project management, entrepreneurship, business analyst, AI, systems administrator, data analyst and software developer. 
•    Self-paced learning
•    Digitally delivered – access to Wi-Fi and a device is essential
