Taster Day Details
• Taster Day: Tuesday 11th march 2025, 10.30am – 1/2pm
• Time To Meet: 10.00am (for a 10.30am start)
• Location: Venue Kings Trust ocean way, Cardiff
• What will happen on the Taster Day? Arrival and welcome, teas/coffees, introductions and meet the team, programme overview and construction talk from Arc, various Construction activities and team-building tasks, paperwork, Q&A session and informal chat about course suitability/Kings Trust. Young people will be expected to have basic knowledge of construction, therefore, research is encouraged.
• Misc: travel costs will be reimbursed
• Dress Code: Smart, interview clothes
Programme Details
• Programme Dates: Monday 17th March – Friday 26th March 2025
• Programme Schedule: Monday – Friday, 11am – 3pm
• Programme Length: 1 week
• Job Outcomes: We aim for a minimum of 50% job outcomes at the end of the programme
Misc Details
• Person Spec: Candidates must have an interest in working in the Construction sector and working in different weather conditions . Candidates must also understand the demanding workload and be willing to work on their feet for long periods of time. No previous experience necessary.
• Travel costs are reimbursed and lunch is provided daily
• Criminal Convictions: All convictions will be considered on a case-by-case basis but anything serious or theft-related are unlikely to be selected by the employer due to their own policies on criminal convictions.
