This 4-week programme is open to NEETs aged 16-30 who are keen to gain invaluable work experience in the Retail sector with TK Maxx & Homesense in the following locations:

Cardiff – Llanishen (Homesense)

Cardiff – Culverhouse Cross

Cwmbran

Newport

Swansea- Morfa

Llanelli

Llanelli (Homesense)

This programme will combine instore work experience and face-to-face employability skills training with The King's Trust.

Get Into Retail with Tk Maxx

Taster Day: Wednesday 29^th July 2026
Location: The Angel hotel, Cardiff, CF10 1SZ.

Please note that the taster day is a selection day, we therefore advise that young people must be work ready and have a positive attitude.

Programme Details: Monday 3^rd August – Friday 28^th August 2026

Programme Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 4pm
Programme Length: 4-weeks
No. of Placements on the Programme: 2 per store
Every Monday on programme there will be an employability day in Cardiff city centre store (The Hayes).

Misc. Details

Person Specific: Candidates must have an interest in working in the Retail sector and working with customers. Candidates must also be willing to work on their feet for long periods of time. No previous experience necessary.
Documentation/ID: On programme completion, candidates will need to have ID / right to work documents e.g. Passport, Driving Licence, Birth Certificate to start employment.
Travel costs are reimbursed.
